Irish Festival & Westport for Katy

Katy is in Westport - Irish Westport not KC - having just attended a festival in Louisbugh, Mayo. Her husband got some whistle lessons from Joanie Madden of Cherish the Ladies, and Katy has been taking singing lessons from Tim Dennehy.

Cherish the Ladies have performed the Westport Irish Festival and last year's KC Irish Festival. In the days of the Westport (Kansas City that is) Irish Festival I corresponded with Joanie and she was a lot of fun.

In this latest installment from her Irish trip, Katy also gives some insight into the state of technology in Ireland in terms of internet cafes, and mobile/cell phones.
