Live Irish Music Schedule for Bob Reeder on St Patrick's Day 2006:
Black 47, one-time Brookside Irish Fest headliners, and destined to return to KC Irish Fest this year, have finalized details for their Tour/Trip to Ireland. Like The Young Dubliners and The Elders' trips it will in November. Details of the Nov. 8-14 trip are available on Black47.com
In accordance with the views of the veterans we've decided to do a less frantic trip this time, spend more time in specific towns and less on the bus. Apart from the music and partying, we will continue to introduce you to the political, social and literary history of Ireland. There is no age limit, everyone mixes well, and we welcome solo travelers. By the time you get home you will have become part of a family and made new friends for life. It's an ideal way to see Ireland for the first time and a fun way to return.
Irish Music, Irish Food, and Irish Clothes at Browne's Irish Market for St Patrick's Week in Kansas City this March:
Live Music, could it be Irish? Looks like Jethro has some new friends, ironically the most solitary of Irish fairies!
Live Irish Pub Music, a bit punky, a bit ballady, by The Kelihans on St Paddy's Day, March 17 2006:
KC's Celtic Rock supergroup, The Elders, are playing live this weekend on Saturday, January 7 at the pub many of you knew formerly as Molloy Bros Irish Pub in Westport.
Music & Craic all day for authentic Irish pub WJMcBrides's on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2006:
KC Irish Fest entertainers and Kansas City's best friends from Cork, The Fuchsia Band, have laid claim to a whole year and are seeking your help for their Tour of America. Frontman Máirtín de Cógáin sends word:
We are working hard of our U.K. and U.S. tours, but if you know of anywhere that will have us, be it a Festival, Society, Bar or House concert, send them our way!And we're looking forward to seeing The Fuchsia Band in KC later in the year
Thank you all for your best wishes and support through all of last year Cork,
European Capital of Culture 2005 and we hope to see ye soon! Where? In the Fuchsia!
New for this year's St. Patrick's Day Parade in Kansas City, are what are being described as "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade style" balloons. There's an adjective that rolls off the tongue.
