Commemorative Concert for 1916 Rising

Speaking of the 1916 Rising, there is a commemorative concert to mark its 90th anniversary in St Louis on April 24.

It features The Xiles who I know nothing about beyond that they are a family band from my hometown, Dublin, Ireland, and have settled in St. Louis.

The other musician featured is Eileen Gannon who plays traditional Irish music on the Irish harp. Gannon is also a former All-Ireland Senior Harp Champion - the first performer from the midwest and only the third American to win this title.

Handy Irish Phrase: Dá fhada an lá tagann an tráthnóna   (However long the day, the evening will come)
